Success and Chiropractic – Part 2

Don’t think life should somehow be easier on you now that you’ve got your degree and are in practice. Life is only going to get easier on you when you seriously take time to study, learn, and implement how to run a successful practice and how to develop people who are going to help you do this along the way.

You will need to work on your communication skills-some more than others, but if you can’t communicate with your patients, you’ll never have any. If you can’t communicate with your staff and develop and train them, you will always be fighting an uphill battle, trying to do it on your own.

And let’s face it, no matter how much you can accomplish, you are limited if you think you’re going to do it all on your own. You will soon hit the ceiling, never to go beyond it if you don’t develop yourself in this area.

You need to develop good people on your team. The tougher you are on yourself in this area, the easier life will be on you.

When you consistently apply yourself to learning and truly understand what it takes to run a successful practice, you will be well on your way to having your own highly successful Chiropractic practice. When you truly know and understand this, not only will you have a successful practice, you will be able to repeat this process over again and again if you so desire to do so.

You know you’re there when you don’t have to worry about the practice because you know you can pick it up and start it all over again somewhere else if you had to. When you’ve got this kind of knowledge and understanding, and continue to apply yourself, you’re well on your way. You won’t have to worry about your finances or how you will be able to pay off your debt. But, don’t think it will dissolve overnight.

When you consistently apply to your debt, it will consistently decrease-so long as you maintain your standard of living and don’t add to it just because you’re making more money, unless it is wise to do so. You shouldn’t be worrying about your business or your finances, but you will need to manage them- both of them, as they tend to go hand in hand.

You will however, need to strategically figure out where you are going to apply your income and for what purpose does it serve. Your plan needs to be well thought out and followed through step by step.

I didn’t say you wouldn’t have to stop managing your finances-you absolutely will-if you want to accomplish not only paying off your debt, but also living the lifestyle you want to have and providing for your family. Here’s where the catch is.

Most people, once they achieve some level of success immediately jump into the lifestyle they want. This is not only dangerous- it is not financially intelligent and only adds to the debt and stress when you hit a bump in the road.
